TPX lenses are used in the terahertz band, with a design wavelength of 300 μm. Terahertz waves generally refer to electromagnetic waves in the 0.1 THz to 10 THz range, with wavelengths of 0.03 mm to 3 mm, between microwaves and infrared. TPX material possesses superior mechanical and thermal properties, with a transmission efficiency of >90% in the terahertz band, as well as high transmittance in the visible light band.
